As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing quality care to our patients.   1. Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning and polishing, to promote oral health for patients at STEPS Dental.
  2. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  3. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care.
  4. Conduct thorough oral exams and screenings to identify and address any potential issues or concerns.
  5. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  6. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a clean and sterile environment for patients.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in dental hygiene technology, and implement new techniques as appropriate.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients to address any questions or concerns they may have about their treatment.
  9. Work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the office.
  10. Use excellent time management skills to ensure all appointments are completed in a timely manner.
  11. Continuously promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients and colleagues alike.
  12. Participate in community outreach programs and events to promote oral health and raise awareness about the importance of dental hygiene.
  13. Adhere to the code of ethics and standards of practice for dental hygienists.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Attend continuing education courses and training to stay current with industry standards and best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Dental Hygiene From An Accredited Program

  • Licensed Dental Hygienist In The State Of Kentucky

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Dental Office Or Clinical Setting

  • Cpr Certification And Knowledge Of Emergency Protocols

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Strong Communication Skills And Attention To Detail.
