As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support, resources, and guidance to students facing personal, social, and emotional challenges.   1. Provide individual counseling and support to students in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.
  2. Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for students with complex social and emotional needs.
  3. Collaborate with other campus resources, such as academic advisors and health services, to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  4. Advocate for students and promote inclusivity and social justice within the university community.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current social work practices and techniques to effectively support the diverse needs of students.
  6. Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
  7. Serve as a resource and consultant for faculty and staff on student mental health and well-being.
  8. Develop and facilitate workshops and trainings on relevant social and emotional topics for students, faculty, and staff.
  9. Participate in crisis intervention and provide referrals to appropriate resources when necessary.
  10. Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to provide additional support and resources for students.
  11. Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives related to student well-being.
  12. Supervise and mentor junior social work staff and interns.
  13. Conduct outreach and awareness events to promote mental health and wellness on campus.
  14. Adhere to ethical standards and codes of conduct for social workers.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of student support services.

Job Qualifications
  • Licensure As A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw) In The State Of Kentucky.

  • Master's Degree In Social Work From An Accredited University.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Social Work Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Knowledge Of And Experience With A Variety Of Social Work Theories And Interventions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Population.
