- Provide hands-on instruction and guidance to students and trainees during surgeries and clinical rotations
- Create and implement curriculum and assessments to ensure a comprehensive and up-to-date neurosurgery education for students
- Mentor and supervise students, residents, and fellows in their research projects and clinical work
- Stay current with advancements and developments in the field of neurosurgery through continuing education and research
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the neurosurgery program and maintain high standards of education
- Act as a role model and resource for students and trainees, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and ethical practice in all aspects of neurosurgery
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other activities to contribute to the overall success of the neurosurgery program
- Provide exceptional patient care, utilizing your expertise and experience in neurosurgery to improve patient outcomes

Medical Degree: A Qualified Instructor In Neurosurgery At The University Of Kentucky Should Hold A Valid Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Provides The Necessary Foundation In Medical Knowledge And Skills To Train And Educate Future Neurosurgeons.
Board Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Neurosurgery By The American Board Of Neurological Surgery (Abns). This Certification Is A Mark Of Excellence And Demonstrates A High Level Of Competency In The Field Of Neurosurgery.
