Job Description

The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an Extension Staff Assistant in Bell County. In this part-time, temporary role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and help improve the lives of individuals and families in Bell County through educational programs and outreach activities.   1. Collaborate with other Extension staff to plan and implement educational programs and outreach activities focused on agriculture, horticulture, and family and consumer sciences.
  2. Conduct research and gather relevant information to support the development of educational materials and resources.
  3. Assist in the coordination and promotion of Extension events, workshops, and classes to increase community participation and engagement.
  4. Provide support and guidance to community members seeking information and resources related to agriculture, horticulture, and family and consumer sciences.
  5. Maintain accurate records and data related to program activities and participant demographics.
  6. Keep up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, and family and consumer sciences to ensure the delivery of relevant and accurate information to the community.
  7. Network and build relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to identify and address the needs of the community.
  8. Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers to support Extension programs and activities.
  9. Attend regular meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and stay informed of Extension policies and procedures.
  10. Serve as a positive representative of the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service and promote its mission and values within the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In An Applicable Field, Such As Agriculture, Education, Or Administration.
