  1. Develop and implement educational programs and resources focused on family and consumer sciences in collaboration with the University of Kentucky Extension team.
  2. Conduct needs assessments to identify the specific needs and challenges of individuals and families in the community.
  3. Utilize your knowledge and expertise in family and consumer sciences to provide guidance and support to community members seeking to improve their daily lives.
  4. Foster strong relationships with community organizations, agencies, and stakeholders to promote partnerships and collaborations.
  5. Plan and deliver workshops, seminars, and other educational events to address important topics such as nutrition, financial management, and family relationships.
  6. Stay informed about current research and trends in family and consumer sciences to continuously enhance the quality and relevance of programs and resources.
  7. Provide one-on-one consultations and counseling to individuals and families seeking guidance on specific topics related to family and consumer sciences.
  8. Develop and maintain a strong online and social media presence to reach a wider audience and promote resources and events.
  9. Collaborate with other Extension Agents and professionals to coordinate and deliver multi-disciplinary programs and events.
  10. Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and impact to continually improve the effectiveness of programs and resources.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Family And Consumer Sciences, Nutrition, Or A Related Field.

  • Experience Working With Diverse Populations And Understanding Of Cultural Sensitivity In Educational Settings.

  • Knowledge Of Current Research And Best Practices In Family And Consumer Sciences, Including Nutrition, Parenting, And Family Dynamics.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Engage With Community Members, Students, And Faculty.

  • Ability To Manage And Prioritize Multiple Tasks, Including Planning And Implementing Educational Programs, Conducting Research, And Managing Budgets.
