Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Executive Director of the Kentucky Natural Energy and Development Authority (KNEDA). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operations of KNEDA, as well as driving the growth and development of renewable energy and sustainable economic practices throughout the state.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans for KNEDA in alignment with the University's overall mission and goals.
  2. Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the success of KNEDA.
  3. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations, to promote and advance renewable energy and sustainable economic practices in Kentucky.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the energy and economic development sectors, and make recommendations for KNEDA's involvement.
  5. Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  6. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including the University's senior leadership team and the KNEDA advisory board.
  7. Manage the budget and financial resources of KNEDA, ensuring responsible and effective use of funds.
  8. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within KNEDA and across the University community.
  9. Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for KNEDA, promoting its initiatives and achievements to raise awareness and support for its mission.
  10. Stay informed of industry developments and best practices, and use this knowledge to continuously improve and enhance KNEDA's operations and impact.
  11. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably As An Executive Director Or Higher, In A Non-Profit Or Higher Education Setting.

  • A Strong Track Record Of Success In Strategic Planning, Financial Management, And Organizational Development.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, Students, And Community Partners.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Grant Writing And Fundraising, With A Proven Ability To Secure And Manage Large Grants And Donations.

  • A Graduate Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Business Administration, Public Administration, Or Higher Education Administration.
