  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the university's utility systems, in alignment with institutional goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the financial management of utility operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to utilities, including environmental, safety, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of utility professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the utilities department, promoting efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and implement opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and cost savings.
  • Monitor and analyze utility data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to support the university's utility operations.
  • Stay current on industry trends and advancements, and make recommendations for incorporating new technologies and practices into utility operations.
  • Communicate effectively with university leadership, presenting reports and updates on utility operations and initiatives.
  • Represent the university at conferences, meetings, and events related to utilities and energy management.
  • Ensure that all utility systems are well-maintained and functioning properly, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
