
Assistant Coach/Swim

- Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to improve the performance and skills of student-athletes in the swim program.
- Assist the head coach in planning and organizing all aspects of team practices and competitions.
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to help student-athletes reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment.
- Monitor and track student-athlete progress and make necessary adjustments to training plans.
- Conduct recruiting activities to attract top talent to the swim program.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and staff regarding team expectations, schedules, and any other relevant information.
- Assist in the management of program budget and resources.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, conferences, and other events related to the swim program.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of NCAA regulations and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Continuously strive to improve coaching skills and stay updated on new training techniques and strategies.
- Collaborate with athletic trainers and medical staff to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes.
- Represent the University of Kentucky and the swim program in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Fulfill any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the head coach or athletic department.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Coaching Experience At The Collegiate Or Professional Level.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Or Sports Management.
Proven Success In Developing And Coaching Swimmers At All Levels, Including Nationally-Ranked Athletes.
Excellent Knowledge Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations, As Well As A Commitment To Compliance And Academic Success For Student-Athletes.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Both Athletes And Coaching Staff.
