Job Description

Assist with monthly net revenue analysis and due to/from third party accruals, coordinating with UIHC & UIP accounting groups to provide current reimbursement impacts. Assist with the UIHC annual top-down budget and Org/Departmental budgeted net revenue allocation. Assist with the preparation of the Revenue & Reimbursement departmental budget. Supervise and coordinate the preparation of all third party reports, including but not limited to: the Medicare Cost Report, Medicaid Cost Reports and Medicaid DSH Surveys and supervise the audits of these documents. Assist with the reconciliation of the due to/from third party accruals and the maintenance of the audit support for those accruals. Interpret Medicare and Medicaid regulations to insure compliance with existing regulations, and assist in the development of systems and processes used for data collection and reporting.

Job Qualifications
  • 4 years of relevant healthcare accounting experience in hospital reimbursement.

  • 5-7 years accounting, auditing, cost accounting, budget and/or financial analysis experience

  • Knowledge of physician reimbursement is preferred

  • Experience with HFS software and Epic patient accounting system

  • CPA, MHA or MBA is preferred
