Job Description

This position supports the development, installation, configuration, and ongoing operation of electronic databases for the IRRC. This is a specified term appointment set to end on June 30, 2021. The term may be eligible for renewal. Provide regular database configuration, security, and monitoring in collaboration with other research team members. Utilize database languages to create queries and reports. Provide insight and advice regarding data and products. Review pre-defined database specification and anticipate user requirements. Review existing database structure and provide suggestion to normalize data tables. Perform routine database administration including reviewing backup/restore and security processes.

Job Qualifications
  • General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failure of a database

  • Experience with designing, developing, and managing enterprise-level databases using relational databases

  • Ability to read and troubleshoot query performance based on Query plans of multiple database technologies

  • 3 years database management experience
