  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with students, faculty, and staff to address a wide range of psychological concerns and promote mental health and well-being
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency mental health services as needed
  • Collaborate with other members of the university community, such as academic advisors and student affairs professionals, to support students' academic and personal success
  • Conduct psychological assessments and provide appropriate referrals for specialized treatment when necessary
  • Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of psychology to inform and improve services offered
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all therapy sessions and client interactions
  • Develop and implement outreach and prevention programs to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma
  • Provide consultation and guidance to university staff and faculty on mental health concerns and strategies for supporting students
  • Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
  • Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines set forth by the American Psychological Association and the university.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Psychology - A Ph.d. Or Psy.d. In Psychology Is Typically Required For A Psychologist Position At The University Of Delaware. This Degree Demonstrates A Deep Understanding Of Psychological Theories, Research Methods, And Ethical Principles.

  • State Licensure - To Practice As A Psychologist In The State Of Delaware, Candidates Must Hold A Valid License. This Requires Passing A National Exam And Completing A Certain Number Of Supervised Clinical Hours.
