- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with university and legal regulations.
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
- Manage employee relations, addressing any concerns or conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and support to managers and employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, benefits, and performance evaluations.
- Advise and assist managers in the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other HR team members to plan and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in HR, and make recommendations for improvements to existing processes.
- Serve as a resource for employees, providing guidance and support on various HR-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Director.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through promoting diversity and equity in all HR practices.
- Continuously strive to improve and enhance the overall HR experience for employees at the University of Delaware.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Hr Policies, Procedures, And Laws.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Build Relationships With A Diverse Group Of Faculty, Staff, And Students.
Strong Organizational And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
