Job Description

  1. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with university and legal regulations.
  2. Oversee recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
  3. Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  4. Manage employee relations, addressing any concerns or conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and support to managers and employees.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, benefits, and performance evaluations.
  7. Advise and assist managers in the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures.
  8. Collaborate with other HR team members to plan and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  9. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in HR, and make recommendations for improvements to existing processes.
  10. Serve as a resource for employees, providing guidance and support on various HR-related matters.
  11. Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  12. Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  13. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Director.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through promoting diversity and equity in all HR practices.
  15. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the overall HR experience for employees at the University of Delaware.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Hr Policies, Procedures, And Laws.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Build Relationships With A Diverse Group Of Faculty, Staff, And Students.

  • Strong Organizational And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
