We are currently seeking a Dairy Production Pilot Plant Manager to oversee our state-of-the-art facility and lead our team in creating delicious dairy treats. As the manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our pilot plant and maintaining our reputation for excellence. - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dairy Production Pilot Plant, including managing production schedules, inventory, and staff scheduling.
- Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Ensure the production of high-quality dairy products that meet all safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production processes and equipment.
- Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as research and development, marketing, and sales, to ensure the successful production and distribution of new products.
- Manage the facility budget, including expenses for equipment, supplies, and labor.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including yields, batch records, and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to dairy production and food safety.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies, processes, and best practices to improve production and reduce costs.
- Handle any issues or concerns that arise during production, including equipment malfunctions, ingredient shortages, or quality control problems.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among all staff members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback, training, and development opportunities for staff.
- Represent the UDairy Creamery at industry events, conferences, and meetings, promoting our brand and sharing our production processes and successes.
Bachelor's Degree In Dairy Science, Food Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Dairy Production, Preferably In A Pilot Plant Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Industry Standards.
Experience In Managing A Team And Overseeing Production Processes.
Familiarity With University Research And Collaboration, As Well As A Commitment To Promoting Sustainable And Ethical Dairy Practices.
