- Provide academic advising and guidance to students in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department.

- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement academic support programs for students.
- Stay updated on departmental and university policies and procedures to accurately advise students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.

- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Develop and facilitate workshops and presentations on academic success strategies and resources.
- Act as a liaison between students and faculty/staff to address any academic or administrative concerns.
- Participate in departmental and university events and initiatives to promote academic success and student engagement.
- Collaborate with other advisors and departments to ensure a seamless and holistic student experience.
- Continuously evaluate and improve advising practices to meet the evolving needs of students and the department.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting a growth mindset and encouraging their personal and professional development.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with students.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Or Computer Engineering: A Strong Academic Background In The Field Of Electrical Or Computer Engineering Is Necessary To Understand The Needs And Requirements Of Students Pursuing A Degree In This Field.
Experience In Academic Advising: Previous Experience Working As An Academic Advisor, Preferably In The Field Of Electrical And Computer Engineering, Demonstrates A Familiarity With The Academic Advising Process And The Ability To Guide Students Towards Success.
Knowledge Of University Policies And Procedures: A Thorough Understanding Of University Policies And Procedures Is Essential For An Academic Advisor To Effectively Guide Students Through Their Academic Journey And Help Them Navigate Any Challenges Or Obstacles They May Face.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: An Academic Advisor Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Communicate With Students, Faculty, And Staff. Additionally, Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary To Build Relationships And Trust With Students.
Understanding Of Career Opportunities In Electrical And Computer Engineering: As An Academic Advisor, It Is Important To Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of The Career Opportunities Available In The Field Of Electrical And Computer Engineering.
