- Develop and implement a comprehensive wellness program for musicians in the College of Music.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify and address the specific needs and challenges of musicians.
- Conduct workshops and seminars on topics such as stress management, injury prevention, and mental health.
- Provide individualized support and resources for students experiencing physical, mental, or emotional health issues.
- Serve as a liaison between the College of Music and other departments on campus to ensure the integration of wellness practices into the overall student experience.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in musician wellness and incorporate them into the program.
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and community organizations to provide additional support and resources for students.
- Create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment for students to discuss and address their wellness needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the program, making necessary adjustments to meet the evolving needs of students.
- Communicate and promote the program through various channels, including social media, campus events, and partnerships.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student leaders and volunteers involved in the program.
- Collaborate with other university departments to create a holistic approach to student wellness.
- Maintain accurate records and data on program activities and outcomes.
- Participate in relevant professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in musician wellness.
- Serve as an advocate for the importance of musician wellness within the university and larger community.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working In The Field Of Musician Wellness, With A Focus On Mental Health And Physical Wellness.
Extensive Knowledge Of The Music Industry And The Unique Challenges And Stressors Faced By Musicians, Including Touring, Performance Demands, And Lifestyle Factors.
A Strong Background In Counseling, Psychology, Or A Related Field, With A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Supporting And Advocating For Individuals In A Wellness Setting.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With Faculty, Staff, And Students In The Music Department To Develop And Implement Effective Wellness Programs And Initiatives.
Knowledge Of And Experience With Grant Writing, Fundraising, And Budget Management To Support The Growth And Sustainability Of The Musicians’ Wellness Program.
