- Develop and lead the Genomics and Bioinformatics Cluster at the University of Central Florida.
- Design and teach courses related to genomics and bioinformatics at the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of genomics and bioinformatics.
- Mentor and advise students in the Cluster, guiding them in their academic and research pursuits.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Participate in departmental and university committees and activities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
- Seek out and secure external funding opportunities for research and program development.
- Stay current with advancements and developments in the field of genomics and bioinformatics.

Phd In Genomics, Bioinformatics, Or A Related Field: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Doctoral Degree In A Relevant Field, As It Demonstrates A Strong Foundation Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Genomics And Bioinformatics.
Extensive Research Experience: As A Professor And Cluster Lead, The Individual Will Be Expected To Conduct And Oversee Research Projects Within The Genomics And Bioinformatics Cluster. Therefore, They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Conducting High-Quality Research And Securing Grants And Funding For Their Research Projects.
Teaching Experience: This Position Will Involve Teaching Courses In Genomics And Bioinformatics At The Undergraduate And Graduate Levels. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Previous Experience Teaching These Subjects And A Passion For Mentoring And Educating Students.
Leadership Skills: The Individual Selected For This Position Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing The Genomics And Bioinformatics Cluster.
