  1. Lead and manage the Department of Counselor Education & School Psychology at the University of Central Florida.
  2. Provide visionary leadership to faculty, students, and staff, ensuring the department's goals and objectives are aligned with the university's mission and values.
  3. Mentor and support faculty in their research and teaching endeavors, fostering a culture of academic excellence and innovation.
  4. Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and other academic institutions to enhance the department's impact and reputation.
  5. Oversee the development and implementation of academic programs, including curriculum design, course offerings, and student learning outcomes.
  6. Collaborate with other department chairs and university leaders to promote interdisciplinary and cross-departmental initiatives.
  7. Serve as an advocate for the department within the university, advocating for resources and support to enhance the department's success.
  8. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students, ensuring their academic and professional development.
  9. Contribute to the advancement of the counseling and psychology fields through research, publications, and presentations at conferences and other professional events.
  10. Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest trends and practices in counseling and psychology.
  11. Participate in departmental and university committees, meetings, and events as needed.
  12. Embody the highest ethical standards and promote a culture of integrity and professionalism within the department and university.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Counselor Education, School Psychology, Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Teaching, Research, And Leadership Roles In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Active Membership In Relevant Professional Organizations And A Strong Record Of Scholarly Publications And Presentations.

  • Experience In Securing External Funding And Managing Budgets.

  • Demonstrated Commitment To Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion In Teaching, Research, And Service.
