
Laboratory Manager
Write test procedures. Assure compliance with test standards. Supervise maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Specify test equipment. Coordinate work flow. Evaluate test results. Prepare test reports.Safety and operational training and supervision of students and others using the laboratory, as well as development and maintenance of procedures and documentation necessary for the safe operation of the lab. Must provide operational liaison to building managers, UCF Facilities and Duke Energy as necessary. Contribute to the publishing and presentation of research results in professional journals and at conferences. Work with partners and collaborators to identify strategic areas of research, development, and to secure funding to support new programs.
4+ years of relevant experience
Experience in design and/or operations or utility electric power systems
Experience in operations or maintenance of power systems at low voltage and medium voltage
Knowlege of high voltage testing practices including testing of insulation/transformers/motors and generators
