- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to planetary science, including but not limited to: planetary geology, astrobiology, and planetary exploration.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students in their research and academic pursuits.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers to advance the department's research goals and initiatives.
- Publish scholarly articles and present at conferences to share research findings and contribute to the scientific community.
- Participate in departmental and university service, such as serving on committees and attending faculty meetings.
- Engage with the community through outreach activities, such as public lectures and events, to promote interest and understanding in planetary science.
- Stay current with developments in the field of planetary science and incorporate new techniques and technologies into teaching and research.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new curriculum and programs related to planetary science.
- Serve as a positive role model for students and uphold the values and mission of the university and department.
A Phd In Planetary Science Or A Related Field, Such As Astronomy Or Earth Science.
Extensive Research Experience And A Strong Publication Record In The Field Of Planetary Science.
Teaching Experience At The University Level, Including The Development Of New Courses And Curriculum.
Experience Securing Grant Funding For Research Projects And Supervising Graduate Students.
Demonstrated Leadership And Collaboration Skills, Including The Ability To Work With Interdisciplinary Teams And Mentor Students.
