We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Counselor Education and School Psychology. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the next generation of counselors and school psychologists through teaching, research, and mentorship.   1. Teach courses in counselor education and school psychology, utilizing effective and engaging teaching methods.
  2. Conduct research in areas related to counseling and psychology, and publish scholarly articles and books.
  3. Mentor and advise graduate students in their academic and professional development.
  4. Participate in departmental and university committees and meetings.
  5. Develop and revise curriculum to maintain relevance and meet changing industry standards.
  6. Engage in community outreach and service activities related to the field of counseling and psychology.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of the department and university.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements and best practices in counseling and psychology.
  9. Provide academic and career counseling to students.
  10. Participate in the recruitment and retention of students.
  11. Assist in the evaluation and assessment of student learning outcomes.
  12. Contribute to the accreditation process and maintain compliance with accreditation standards.
  13. Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching and research skills.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
  15. Comply with university policies and procedures.
  16. Represent the university and department at professional conferences and events.
  17. Collaborate with external organizations and agencies to provide hands-on learning opportunities for students.
  18. Assist in the development and administration of grants and funding opportunities.
  19. Act as a role model for students, demonstrating professionalism and ethical behavior.
  20. Continuously strive for excellence in teaching, research, and service to positively impact the university and the field of counseling and psychology.

Job Qualifications
  • A Doctoral Degree In Counselor Education, School Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Previous Teaching Experience In Higher Education, Preferably In Counselor Education And/Or School Psychology.

  • Active And Current Licensure As A School Counselor, School Psychologist, Or Mental Health Counselor.

  • Demonstrated Research And Publication Record In The Field Of Counseling And School Psychology.

  • Knowledge And Experience With Multicultural Counseling And Diversity Issues In Education.
