
STEM Career Specialist
Counsels undergraduate and graduate students and alumni on career options and opportunities, including customized services for specific populations. As a subject matter expert for either the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering OR the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS), provides targeted career counseling to this population. Identifies personal crisis situations and refers client to appropriate resources. With a keen understanding of student career readiness needs, develops and implements workshops and information sessions; to include coordination with key stakeholders as appropriate. Builds and maintains a collaborative relationship with the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering OR CNAS to ensure high-level career readiness outcomes for students. Researches, evaluates, and updates written and electronic career and educational resources.
4 - 7 years of related experience
Previous experience providing career services for a university career center.
Ability to work with people from diverse cultures
Experience delivering presentations to both small and large groups.
