
Senior International Student Advisor
The University of California, Riverside is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior International Student Advisor to join our team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide guidance and assistance to international students and support the university’s efforts to create a global student environment. We are looking for someone with an understanding of international student needs and strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and possess a passion for international education.The successful Senior International Student Advisor will have a Bachelor’s degree in international education, student services, or a related field, and at least three years of experience in international student services. Prior experience in higher education and a strong knowledge of immigration regulations is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to providing excellent service to all international students and fostering a supportive environment that encourages their growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and assistance to international students in navigating the university system and its regulations.
- Evaluate student applications for admission to the university, ensuring that all requirements are met.
- Assist international students in obtaining the necessary visas and comply with immigration regulations.
- Create and implement student programming initiatives designed to support international students’ academic and cultural integration.
- Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of educational institutions, organizations, and other stakeholders in the international student community.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the rules, regulations, and policies related to international student services.
- Provide advice to students on academic and personal matters.
- Research and develop resources to support international student services and programs.
- Monitor and report on international student progress and success.
- Participate in university committees and initiatives related to international student services.
