
Senior Agricultural Technician
The University of California, Riverside is seeking a Senior Agricultural Technician to join our diverse and innovative team. This position will involve a combination of field research, laboratory analysis, and administrative activities to support the research and educational programs of the Plant Pathology and Microbiology Department. The Senior Agricultural Technician will provide the department with leadership and guidance in the development and maintenance of research projects, as well as ensuring the successful completion of research activities.We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science or a related field, and at least five years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will also have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain research projects in the fields of plant pathology and microbiology.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Plant Pathology and Microbiology Department.
- Perform field research and laboratory analysis.
- Ensure the successful completion of research activities.
- Maintain and operate equipment and instruments used for research.
- Monitor and evaluate progress of research projects.
- Provide educational instruction and support for students and faculty.
- Assist with administrative activities related to research and educational programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research activities.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
