Greenhouse Technician

You’ll work with the Greenhouse Manager to ensure that the greenhouse facilities meet our standards for safety and operational excellence.To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in biology and horticulture. You should have experience with upkeep and maintenance of greenhouses and be comfortable working with a variety of tools and equipment. You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with others. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and maintain the condition of greenhouse facilities, equipment, and related services.
2. Ensure that greenhouse facilities meet safety and operational standards.
3. Work collaboratively with the Greenhouse Manager and other staff members.
4. Operate and troubleshoot a variety of tools and equipment.
5. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
6. Conduct routine maintenance and repair work on greenhouses.
7. Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of greenhouses.
8. Monitor environmental conditions, such as temperature, light, humidity, etc.
9. Assist with research activities and experiments involving plants.
10. Suggest improvements to increase efficiency, safety, and productivity.
