Fire Prevention Specialist

The University of California, Riverside is looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly organized Fire Prevention Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing fire safety issues, conducting fire safety training, and working with local fire departments to ensure compliance with all fire safety codes and regulations.The ideal candidate for this role must possess a strong background in fire safety, emergency management, and building codes and regulations, as well as a demonstrated commitment to promoting fire safety in the university environment. Responsibilities:

• Identify and manage fire safety issues
• Conduct fire safety training for campus staff and students
• Work with local fire departments to ensure compliance with all fire safety codes and regulations
• Monitor the campus for potential fire hazards and take corrective action
• Prepare reports and recommendations for fire safety improvements
• Develop and update fire safety policies and procedures
• Act as a liaison between the University and local fire departments
• Participate in fire safety inspections and drills
• Ensure fire safety equipment is properly maintained and functioning
• Research and stay up-to-date with fire safety advances and regulations
• Provide fire safety education and training to students and staff
