
Financial Research Analyst
Responsible for conducting complex financial analyses; providing fiscal, budgetary, analytical and administrative support; and performing a variety of tasks to ensure the financial integrity of the ledgers and ensure all funds are in auditable/reportable condition. The analyst will administer the fiscal operations of the Department's managed funds, which include extramural awards, gifts, endowments, and other restricted and unrestricted funding sources. The incumbent performs financial reporting and review; creates, analyzes and summarizes reports; performs ledger reconciliation and verifies the accuracy and appropriateness of all financial transactions; determines and locates sources to independently collect information and data; and evaluates and makes recommendations for alternate solutions.
4 - 7 years of related experience.
Ability to function as a member of a team.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
