Job Description

The University of California, Riverside is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and creative individual to join our team as a Development Communications Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing communications strategies that support the university’s fundraising goals. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team that is passionate about creating meaningful, impactful campaigns that help to advance the university's mission.To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field, as well as a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. You should also possess strong project management skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and experience working with multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage communications strategies to support the university’s fundraising goals.
  2. Coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful execution of communication campaigns.
  3. Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Develop creative content for a variety of communications channels, including print, digital, and social media.
  5. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of campaigns, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  6. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure effective communication strategies.
  7. Monitor the university’s progress towards its fundraising goals.
  8. Represent the university at various events and conferences.
  9. Manage and mentor a team of communication professionals.
