Job Description

The University of California, Riverside is looking for an experienced and talented Development and Marketing Coordinator, Gift Planning to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a focus on customer service. The Development and Marketing Coordinator, Gift Planning is responsible for leading efforts to promote and increase philanthropic support through planned gifts.The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. The ideal candidate will also have at least five years of experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations, and communications. Experience in the higher education sector, specifically in gift planning, is preferred.The successful candidate will be passionate about the mission and values of the University of California, Riverside. They will have a strong customer service orientation and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks.We are looking for a dedicated, creative, and driven individual to join our team. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement marketing and communication plans to promote philanthropic support through planned gifts.
  2. Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to foster a culture of philanthropy and ensure donor satisfaction.
  3. Provide customer service to donors, responding to inquiries and cultivating relationships.
  4. Develop and execute strategies to increase philanthropic support and planned gifts.
  5. Track progress of fundraising efforts and analyze data to assess success.
  6. Manage and coordinate alumni and donor events.
  7. Research and produce materials to promote and educate donors about planned giving opportunities.
  8. Represent the University of California, Riverside in public and private events.
  9. Work collaboratively with other development and marketing staff to ensure consistency of message and brand.
  10. Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices in gift planning and development.
