
Assistant Culinary Manager
The University of California, Riverside is looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Culinary Manager to join our team! This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional culinary environment, with at least 2 years of management experience. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of culinary techniques and a passion for creating innovative and delicious meals. Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of culinary techniques and a passion for creating innovative and delicious meals.
- Provide support to the Culinary Manager and the entire culinary team.
- Lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor food safety and sanitation procedures and ensure compliance with local health regulations.
- Create daily and weekly menus and ensure the timely preparation of meals.
- Train and supervise culinary staff in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Develop and implement cost-effective procedures.
