- Provide individualized career counseling to students, helping them identify and articulate their career goals and develop a clear plan to achieve them.
- Conduct assessments and provide guidance on career-related topics such as resume building, interview preparation, networking, and job search strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on current job market trends and industry developments to provide students with relevant and timely career advice.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni to develop and implement career development programs and events.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, alumni, and other professionals to create internship and job opportunities for students.
- Assist students in identifying and applying for scholarships, fellowships, and other career-related opportunities.
- Utilize various career resources and tools to support students in their career exploration and development.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for students, helping them build confidence and self-awareness in their career pursuits.
- Develop and deliver workshops and presentations on career-related topics to students, faculty, and staff.
- Track and report on student career outcomes and success stories to assess the effectiveness of career counseling services.
- Actively participate in professional development activities to stay current in the field of career counseling and bring new ideas and strategies to the university's career center.
- Provide support and guidance to junior career counselors and other team members as needed.
- Uphold the university's mission and values, promoting diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of career counseling.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Career Counseling Or Related Field.
Strong Understanding Of Career Development Theories And Practices.
Experience Working With Diverse Populations And A Commitment To Promoting Diversity And Inclusivity In The Career Counseling Process.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Students, Faculty, And Employers.
