  1. Oversee and manage the technical aspects of the University's accounting operations.
  2. Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support decision-making.
  3. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  4. Provide support and guidance to the accounting team, including training and development.
  5. Develop and maintain accounting procedures and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall financial performance.
  7. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, and implement necessary changes.
  8. Lead the preparation and review of financial statements and other financial reports.
  9. Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  10. Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
  11. Mentor and coach junior accounting staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  12. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including non-financial colleagues, to ensure understanding and compliance with accounting processes.
  13. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the University's financial goals.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
  15. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
  16. Represent the University in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Related Field, With A Minimum Of 7 Years Of Relevant Experience In A Leadership Role.

  • Advanced Knowledge Of Accounting Principles And Practices, Including Gaap And Non-Profit Accounting Standards.

  • Strong Technical Skills In Financial Reporting, Budgeting, And Analysis, With Experience Using Financial Software Such As Peoplesoft Or Oracle.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Provide Guidance To Junior Staff.

  • Extensive Experience In Project Management, With The Ability To Plan, Organize, And Prioritize Tasks To Meet Deadlines And Achieve Goals.
