
Radiation Safety Principal Technician
The University of California, Irvine is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Radiation Safety Principal Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a combination of technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization. In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and students to ensure the safe use of radiation sources across the university. To be successful in this position, you must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a radiation safety program and demonstrate a solid understanding of related regulatory requirements. A bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical discipline is highly desirable, as is working knowledge of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations. Additionally, you must have the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including faculty, students, and staff.
