Job Description

The Security Ambassador provides for the general safety and security of the UC Irvine and UC Irvine Health population, physical property, and assets as prescribed by state law, regulatory compliance, and departmental procedures and guidelines. The Security Ambassadors primary role is to observe and report. Under the direction of UC Irvine Police Department, the Security Ambassador assists in the monitoring, observation, and reporting of public safety conditions. The essential functions listed below are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties that may be assigned to this position, nor does it restrict the duties which may be assigned to this position if such duties reasonably relate to the position.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience working in a University environment. Bilingual Hospital security experience.

  • Ability to work variable shifts, including: evenings; nights; weekends; and holidays

  • Current State of California Driver s License and participate in the DMV Pull notice program.

  • Current State of California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security Investigative Services (BSIS)
