  1. Operate and maintain the Prototyping Lab equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition at all times.
  2. Collaborate with researchers and students to understand their prototyping needs and provide guidance on the best approach to bring their ideas to life.
  3. Manage the inventory of materials and supplies used in the Prototyping Lab, ensuring that they are well-stocked and organized.
  4. Train and assist individuals in safely and effectively operating the equipment and tools in the Prototyping Lab.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and trends in prototyping technology to ensure the Prototyping Lab remains cutting-edge.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise in the Prototyping Lab.
  7. Ensure a clean and organized work environment in the Prototyping Lab.
  8. Collaborate with other departments on campus to support their prototyping needs and projects.
  9. Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment for all users of the Prototyping Lab.
  10. Document and report any maintenance or repairs needed for the equipment and tools in the Prototyping Lab.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of new prototyping techniques and processes.
  12. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to source new materials and equipment for the Prototyping Lab.
  13. Organize and lead workshops and training sessions for the campus community on prototyping techniques and equipment.
  14. Act as a mentor and resource for students and researchers, providing guidance and support for their prototyping projects.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the Prototyping Lab processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Engineering, Computer Science, Or Design.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Prototyping Lab Or Similar Environment.

  • Proficiency With Various Prototyping Tools And Equipment Such As 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, And Cnc Machines.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills To Quickly Resolve Technical Issues In The Lab.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work Collaboratively With Students, Faculty, And Staff From Diverse Backgrounds.
