
Prin Food Service Worker

- Oversee all aspects of food service operations in assigned dining facilities, including but not limited to food production, sanitation, inventory management, and customer service.
- Train and supervise a team of food service workers, providing guidance and support to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Plan and execute menus in collaboration with the culinary team, taking into consideration dietary restrictions, food cost, and customer feedback.
- Ensure the quality, freshness, and presentation of all food items, maintaining high standards and responding promptly to any issues or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, regularly inspecting for cleanliness and addressing any sanitation or safety concerns.
- Foster a positive and welcoming environment for all customers, addressing any complaints or conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary food and supplies, ensuring adequate stock to meet the demands of the dining facilities.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, making recommendations for improvements and implementing changes as needed.
- Collaborate with other campus departments and external vendors to coordinate special events and promotions, such as themed dinners or guest chef appearances.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Food Service, Preferably In A High-Volume Institutional Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Practices, Including Servsafe Certification
Ability To Effectively Manage And Train A Team Of Food Service Workers
Excellent Customer Service Skills And The Ability To Handle Difficult Situations With Professionalism And Tact
Willingness To Work Flexible Hours, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays As Needed
