  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems and equipment.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems and make necessary repairs.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and identify potential problems before they become major issues.
  4. Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC components as needed.
  5. Follow safety procedures and protocols when working with HVAC systems.
  6. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate HVAC maintenance and repairs.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in HVAC maintenance and repair.
  9. Assist in developing and implementing energy-efficient and cost-effective HVAC solutions.
  10. Respond to emergency HVAC calls and provide timely solutions.
  11. Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects and tasks.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  13. Monitor and order necessary supplies and equipment for HVAC maintenance and repairs.
  14. Train and mentor junior HVAC technicians.
  15. Adhere to all university policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Relevant Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Hvac Maintenance And Repair, Preferably In A Large Institutional Setting Like A University.

  • Technical Knowledge: In-Depth Understanding Of Hvac Systems, Including Troubleshooting, Maintenance, And Installation Of Various Types Of Equipment Such As Chillers, Boilers, And Air Handling Units.

  • Certification/Licensure: Possession Of A Valid Hvac Technician License And/Or Certification From A Recognized Institution.

  • Safety Training: Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Procedures Related To Hvac Work, As Well As Knowledge Of Building Codes And Regulations.

  • Communication Skills: Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, And Students, To Understand Their Hvac Needs And Provide Timely And Efficient Solutions.
