- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems and make necessary repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections and identify potential problems before they become major issues.
- Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC components as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols when working with HVAC systems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate HVAC maintenance and repairs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in HVAC maintenance and repair.
- Assist in developing and implementing energy-efficient and cost-effective HVAC solutions.
- Respond to emergency HVAC calls and provide timely solutions.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects and tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Monitor and order necessary supplies and equipment for HVAC maintenance and repairs.
- Train and mentor junior HVAC technicians.
- Adhere to all university policies and procedures.
Relevant Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Hvac Maintenance And Repair, Preferably In A Large Institutional Setting Like A University.
Technical Knowledge: In-Depth Understanding Of Hvac Systems, Including Troubleshooting, Maintenance, And Installation Of Various Types Of Equipment Such As Chillers, Boilers, And Air Handling Units.
Certification/Licensure: Possession Of A Valid Hvac Technician License And/Or Certification From A Recognized Institution.
Safety Training: Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Procedures Related To Hvac Work, As Well As Knowledge Of Building Codes And Regulations.
Communication Skills: Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, And Students, To Understand Their Hvac Needs And Provide Timely And Efficient Solutions.
