Job Description

Develop high-impact and quality proposals involving funding and facilitate proposal development. Draft letters of support, grant and contract acknowledgements, and requests for funding. Write, edit and provide technical writing support for proposals and grant applications. Guide and assist faculty and staff in developing competitive proposals. Build relationships and implement programs to strengthen Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences proposal development. Initiate and maintain communication with funders and keep detailed records of all interactions. Identify and promote funding opportunities. Research program strategy development for the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences.

Job Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in grant research and writing

  • Knowledge/experience related to major federal funding agencies, particularly NSF, but also DoD and NIH.

  • Highly developed writing skills to develop compelling and engaging grant applications

  • MS/MA in writing disciple and/or equivalent desired
