Job Description

The University of California- Irvine's Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join our Stem Cell Transplant team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to patients undergoing stem cell transplant procedures.   1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to cancer patients undergoing stem cell transplant procedures.
  2. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide patient education and support.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  4. Monitor patients for signs of complications and intervene as necessary.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  6. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and treatments in oncology nursing.
  8. Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Program

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Oncology Nursing, With A Focus On Stem Cell Transplantation

  • Certification In Oncology Nursing (Ocn) Preferred

  • Strong Knowledge Of Stem Cell Transplantation Procedures And Protocols, As Well As The Ability To Provide Patient And Family Education And Support Throughout The Transplant Process.
