
Capital Asset Manager

- Oversee the management of the university's capital assets, including but not limited to buildings, equipment, and other physical assets.
- Develop and implement strategies for the optimal performance and utilization of capital assets in alignment with the university's goals.
- Conduct regular reviews and analysis of capital assets to identify areas for improvement and maximize resources.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including department heads, financial managers, and external partners, to make informed decisions regarding capital assets.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive asset management plans and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies regarding the management of capital assets.
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of capital assets, identifying any potential risks or opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in capital asset management to continuously improve processes and strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of capital assets.
- Train and mentor staff on asset management policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management regarding capital asset management.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives for the university's capital assets.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all asset records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the university's sustainability initiatives to promote environmentally responsible asset management practices.
- Participate in the development and implementation of long-term capital asset plans for the university.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Capital Asset Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Financial Reporting And Budgeting Processes.
Experience With Asset Tracking Software And Systems.
