  1. Manage Financial Transactions: The Transaction Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all financial transactions for the University of California, Berkeley. This includes processing invoices, making payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  2. Maintain Accurate Records: The University of California, Berkeley requires accurate and detailed financial records. The Transaction Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all transactions are properly documented and recorded in accordance with university policies and procedures.
  3. Ensure Compliance: The Transaction Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all financial transactions are in compliance with university policies, as well as state and federal regulations. This includes staying up-to-date on any changes in policies or regulations and implementing necessary changes.
  4. Coordinate with Other Departments: The Transaction Specialist will need to work closely with other departments, such as Purchasing and Budgeting, to ensure smooth financial processes and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.

  6. Provide Financial Reports: The Transaction Specialist will be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports to management and other stakeholders. These reports must be accurate, detailed, and delivered in a timely manner.
  7. Uphold Confidentiality: The University of California, Berkeley handles sensitive financial information and the Transaction Specialist must maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality and security at all times.
