- Develop and implement programs and initiatives that support student success and enhance the overall student experience at the university.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students seeking support and resources, and provide guidance and referrals as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and university staff to coordinate and improve student services.
- Conduct outreach and build relationships with students to understand their needs and concerns, and use this information to inform program development and improvement.
- Plan and execute events and workshops that address the diverse needs and challenges of college students.
- Advise and mentor students on academic, personal, and career-related issues, and assist them in developing effective strategies for success.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to student services and use this information to evaluate and improve programs and services.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on university policies, procedures, and resources to provide accurate and timely information to students.
- Participate in recruitment and orientation events to promote student services and engage with prospective students.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address student academic and personal concerns.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in providing student services.
- Train and supervise student workers and volunteers to assist with student services operations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve student services through data analysis, feedback, and best practices.
- Represent the university and student services at meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Education, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, Or Related Field.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Student Services Or Related Field, Preferably In A University Setting.
Knowledge Of Student Development And Counseling Theories, As Well As Current Trends And Issues In Higher Education.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Student Population.
Strong Organizational And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.
