  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, providing them with support, guidance, and resources to help them navigate their academic journey with success
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of university policies and procedures, and effectively communicate these to students
  • Build and maintain relationships with students, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Conduct individual advising sessions with students to discuss their academic progress, address any concerns or challenges, and create action plans for success
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other departments to coordinate and facilitate student services and programs
  • Stay up-to-date on campus resources and services, and connect students with appropriate resources when needed
  • Plan and implement workshops and presentations on topics related to academic success, such as time management, study skills, and goal setting
  • Track and maintain accurate records of student interactions, advising sessions, and program participation
  • Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance advising skills and knowledge
  • Serve as an advocate for students, addressing any issues or concerns they may have and connecting them with appropriate support services
  • Continuously assess and improve student services, seeking feedback from students and colleagues and implementing changes as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Education, Psychology, Counseling, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Student Services Or Advising Role At A College Or University.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With A Diverse Student Population.

  • Knowledge Of Academic Advising Practices And Familiarity With University Policies And Procedures.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment.
