- Assist students with navigating university policies and procedures, including academic requirements, financial aid, and student support services
- Provide comprehensive advising and support to students, including academic planning, course selection, and career development
- Serve as a resource for students, answering questions and providing guidance on a wide range of topics related to university life
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other campus departments to ensure a seamless and positive experience for students
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives to promote student success and retention
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and progress
- Stay current on best practices in student services and implement new strategies to improve the student experience
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students, with a particular focus on supporting underrepresented and marginalized groups
- Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills
- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the university by actively promoting its values and initiatives.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.
Bachelor's Degree In Education, Counseling, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Academic Advising Or Student Services At A Higher Education Institution.
Knowledge Of University Of California Policies And Procedures, As Well As Federal And State Laws Related To Student Services.
Demonstrated Ability To Develop And Implement Programs And Services That Promote Student Success And Retention.
