This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of materials and supplies to various departments and offices across our campus. As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and providing exceptional customer service to our campus community.   1. Manage incoming and outgoing shipments of materials and supplies to various departments and offices on campus.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of all shipments.
  3. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials and supplies to their designated locations.
  4. Communicate with vendors and other shipping companies to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service to the campus community by addressing any inquiries or concerns related to shipping and receiving.
  6. Work closely with other departments and staff members to ensure smooth and timely operations.
  7. Keep track of shipping costs and maintain budgetary guidelines.
  8. Inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  9. Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  10. Collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to track and fulfill orders.
  11. Follow all safety protocols and procedures when handling and storing materials.
  12. Train and supervise any additional team members or temporary staff assigned to assist with shipping and receiving duties.
  13. Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline shipping and receiving processes.
  14. Stay informed about any changes or updates to shipping regulations and procedures.
  15. Adhere to the university's diversity and inclusion policies and promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all campus members.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Prior Experience In Shipping And Receiving, Preferably In A University Or Large Organization Setting

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management And Computer Skills, Including Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Shipping Software

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Work Well With A Diverse Group Of People.
