  1. Monitor and patrol designated areas of the campus to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff.
  2. Respond promptly and effectively to any security concerns or emergencies, including but not limited to theft, vandalism, and medical situations.
  3. Enforce campus rules and regulations to maintain a peaceful and orderly environment for all.
  4. Maintain a visible and approachable presence on campus, providing assistance and guidance to community members as needed.
  5. Monitor and control access to campus buildings, ensuring only authorized individuals are permitted entry.
  6. Conduct thorough and accurate security checks of individuals, vehicles, and packages entering and exiting the campus.
  7. Document and report any security incidents, violations, or suspicious activities in a timely manner.
  8. Collaborate with other campus security personnel and law enforcement agencies as needed.
  9. Stay up-to-date on security procedures and protocols, and participate in ongoing training and development programs.
  10. Demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all interactions with members of the campus community.
  11. Adhere to ethical and professional standards, and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  12. Serve as a positive ambassador for the University of California, Berkeley, promoting a welcoming and safe environment for all.
