  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for academic programs at UC Berkeley.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of academic programs and ensure their smooth functioning.
  3. Manage and develop program budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  4. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to identify and address program needs and priorities.
  5. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in higher education and use this knowledge to continuously improve programs.
  6. Create and maintain partnerships and collaborations with external organizations to enhance program offerings and opportunities for students.
  7. Work closely with the university's diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  8. Recruit, hire, and supervise staff to support program goals and objectives.
  9. Foster a positive and productive work environment for program staff.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, and other supporters to secure funding for program initiatives.
  11. Represent UC Berkeley and its academic programs at conferences, meetings, and other events.
  12. Evaluate program outcomes and make data-driven decisions to improve program effectiveness.
  13. Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to academic programs.
  14. Serve as a liaison between program faculty, university administration, and external partners.
  15. Continuously assess and update program curriculum to meet the evolving needs of students and the university.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Education, Higher Education Administration, Or Business Administration.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Program Management, Preferably In A University Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Proven Experience In Managing A Team And Developing Strategic Plans.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Including Faculty, Staff, And Students.

  • Knowledge Of And Experience With Budget Management, Grant Writing, And Fundraising Strategies.
