- Maintain and support the network infrastructure of the University of California, Berkeley.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to design and implement new network solutions.
- Monitor network performance and security, and proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand their network needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in networking technology.
- Develop and maintain network documentation and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when necessary.
- Train and mentor junior team members on network technologies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and standards for network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to support university-wide initiatives and projects.
- Participate in regular meetings and provide updates on network-related tasks and projects.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancing network performance.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and prioritize tasks to meet project and departmental needs.

Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Network Engineering, Preferably In A Large-Scale Environment.
Knowledge And Experience With Cisco Network Equipment, Including Routers, Switches, And Firewalls.
Strong Understanding Of Tcp/Ip Protocols, Routing Protocols, And Network Security Principles.
Excellent Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment.
