
Martial Arts Youth Camp Instructor

- Lead martial arts classes and activities for children ages 6-12.
- Teach the fundamentals of various martial arts styles.
- Create and implement lesson plans.
- Foster a safe and positive learning environment.
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all camp participants.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Supervise and manage a group of up to 15 children.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to campers.
- Demonstrate proper techniques and form for campers to follow.
- Monitor and assess camper progress throughout the camp.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about camper progress and behavior.
- Enforce camp rules and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized camp space.
- Attend and actively participate in all camp staff meetings and trainings.
- Continuously seek professional development and training opportunities to improve teaching skills.
- Act as a positive role model for campers, promoting good sportsmanship and team spirit.
- Collaborate with other camp staff and management to ensure a successful and enjoyable camp experience for all participants.
- Uphold the mission and values of the University of California, Berkeley.
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to motivate and engage campers.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor with campers, parents, and fellow staff members.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Recognized Martial Arts Discipline, With A Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Teaching Children And Youth.
Certification Or Rank Of At Least Black Belt In A Recognized Martial Arts Discipline.
Proven Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Engage With Children And Youth.
Current Cpr And First Aid Certification.
Strong Understanding And Adherence To Safety Protocols And Techniques For Teaching Martial Arts To Children And Youth.
