- Provide support to faculty and students in conducting research and experiments in the lab.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of the lab by maintaining equipment, supplies, and inventory.
- Prepare and set up materials and equipment for experiments as per instructions from faculty and researchers.
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, data, and results.
- Assist in data analysis and interpretation under the guidance of faculty and researchers.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
- Assist in training new lab personnel and guide them in lab procedures and protocols.
- Keep up-to-date with current research and technology developments in the field.
- Collaborate with other lab assistants, faculty, and students to facilitate smooth functioning of the lab.
- Identify and report any issues or concerns related to lab equipment, supplies, or safety.
- Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines in conducting experiments and handling sensitive data.
- Act as a positive representative of the university and maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with colleagues, students, and visitors.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve lab processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Attend and actively participate in lab meetings and assist in presenting research findings.
Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Biochemistry.
Previous Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Research Or Academic Environment.
Familiarity With A Variety Of Laboratory Equipment And Techniques, Such As Microscopy, Pcr, And Gel Electrophoresis.
Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment.
