  1. Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  4. Assist customers with locating merchandise and answering any questions they may have.
  5. Ensure timely and accurate processing of returns and exchanges.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding low stock or popular items.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the bookstore and dining facilities.
  8. Uphold the university's customer service standards and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  9. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and discounts to relay to customers.
  10. Adhere to cash handling procedures and security measures to prevent theft and fraud.
  11. Assist with end-of-day balancing and reporting.
  12. Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  13. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay informed about new products and policies.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
